It started with a simple notion (back in 2024)...
What if rubber ducks could be cool again (duck shops even more so!!) - A rubber duck renaissance, made for grown-ups with taste, humour, and a love of the unusual. Original, different, and undeniably fun. A little escapism from the seriousness of modern life.
A duck that isn’t just a novelty. It’s a statement. A conversation starter. A small rebellion against dull commonplace gifts.
What if we could take away the frustration and stress of gift shopping We wanted to build something that improves both sides of the gifting experience.
- For the buyer - it’s easier, more enjoyable, feels intentional.
- For the person receiving it - its something different. Actually memorable.
Something not the masses. Not the safe option. Intentionally aimed at people who feel overlooked by modern gift culture because they want more attitude, more character, and less pretentious bullsh*t pretending to be funny. For people who appreciate design, irony, and a bit of premium chaos.
Like us, If you’ve ever looked at a gift shop online and thought “none of this really does it for me”, then yeah… it just probably wasn’t built for you. Until now.
Sounds ridiculous? That’s the point.
It was perfectly clear there was so much more that could be done compared to what already existed in the space, and far more interesting directions to take it.
And so, in the blink of an eye (plus a few too many Watermelon Coolers one warm late-summer night in Bucharest), the GET DUCK’D!! concept was hatched.
It took a little time. Longer than we hoped. A lot of planning. But here we are....
