The idea behind The Perfect Pair started with a memory, and some serious nostalgia.

From the iconic rubber duck to another iconic memory of our younger years…

Remember growing up with Easter eggs that came with mugs? Mars, Maltesers and other chocolate brands had their own designs, and every year we’d get excited for the next haul.

The chocolate disappeared, and the wrapping hit the bin. The mugs stayed. Some of them even made it into adulthood!

Each one had different artwork, and eventually they became little collections in their own right. They weren’t expensive designer objects, but they had memories attached to them.

Then the tradition began to disappear. Those familiar Easter egg and mug combinations became harder to find, and something that had once been part of the fun seemed to vanish from the shelves. Maybe it was all about the corporate giants boosting profits. Who knows? Either way, we missed the idea behind it.

Fast forward years later, while thinking about how to make GET DUCK’D!! different, that memory came back. And we decided that this time, we wanted the idea to stick around.

There was another part of the idea that mattered: the artwork.
